YOGA WINE & FOOD
This series of events is a collaborative concept from Wine & Dine Tours & Becoming Yoga, to connect likeminded people in a harmonious environment. We invite you to journey with us through a nurturing morning yoga class suitable for all levels of experience. Following the yoga class we will absorb the atmosphere with a glass of sparkling wine and conversation amidst new & old friends. We will then enjoy delicious grazing stations that showcase the superb regional fodder. Your ticket price also includes private wine tastings, designed to showcase each winery.
Melissa is a passionate yoga practitioner & events organiser with a reputation for creations that “exceed expectations in every way.” This event is an opportunity to connect people back to the magic of the land they stand on. It is an honour to bring a traditional practice from one indigenous culture and practice its beauty on the earth of another’s
The concept of creating a yoga, food and wine event was driven by my desire to share all the things I love with like-minded people. It can often be difficult to steal time for yourself, however, it’s one of the most important things we can do. It can often be as equally difficult to meet people who harbour the same interests as you, so in creating this event we hope to forge new friendships and enjoy a purely magical, relaxing event that not only calms your mind, but ignites your spirit for all things yoga, wine and food!
Brave Goose Vineyard
Nina and her husband John, together with their two children call Brave Goose Vineyard home. Together they bring their experience in growing and making premium wines, and their passion for sustainable agriculture, to this little piece of heaven on the Goulburn River in the Tallarook Ranges.
Gather in the gardens near the beautiful homestead at the end of the winding driveway at 9am. Meet with Eliza for a warming cup of herbal tea and stroll down the rolling hills toward our yoga destination. Enjoy an hour yoga class with Melissa suitable for all fitness levels, set amongst the bursting green vines. Then take time to breathe in the beauty of the landscape as you sip on on a glass of Brave Goose sparkling wine, before collecting your thoughts and returning to the beautiful gardens. Where you will enjoy an array of local fodder; as catered by the very talented Steph O'Keefe from IGA Seymour. Delight your senses and indulge in a guided wine tasting with winemaker Nina Stocker from Brave Goose, as she shares her passion for winemaking with you.
For us, the story of Tahbilk Winery begins with the land and the river. This place is known as tabilk-tabilk, ‘place of many waterholes’ in the language of the Daung-wurrung clans, the first people; a name which perfectly describes the landscape.
Established in 1860 we believe Tahbilk is the most beautiful and historic family owned winery in Australia, located in one of the nation's premium viticultural areas. The property itself comprises some 1,214 hectares of rich river flats with a frontage of 11 kms to the Goulburn River and 8 kms of permanent backwaters and creeks.
In 2013 Tahbilk became carbon neutral. An extension of the work already completed, by my family, to restore the delicate balance once known by the Daung-wurrung clans.
Our promise to our customers is the creation of prestigious wines and experiences worth sharing which celebrate our history and commitment to a sustainable legacy for future generations. (Excerpt from Tahbilk website)
We recommend that you allow additional time to tour through the grounds of Tahbilk. Experiences include eco walking tracks, wetlands trails and an eco cruise. A visit the cellar door (housed in the original winery) will complete your experience.
